A little further afield

Of course, Denver has a lot to offer in the food department outside of your hood. Here are some of our favorites in downtown, a short walk or Uber from home:

  • Rioja1431 Larimer Street – Larimer Square has a lot to offer in the food department, but our favorite on the block is Rioja. This Mediterranean-inspired spot is perfect for lunch, dinner, or brunch in the fashionable restaurant or at its copper-topped bar.

  • ChoLon1555 Blake Street – right around the corner from Larimer Square, ChoLon offers Asian fusion with a European influence. In Vietnamese, ChoLon translates to “big market”; get ready for some big tastes at ChoLon.

  • Ultreia1701 Wynkoop Street – head to Union Station for Spanish-inspired tapas. Operated by the same folks who run Rioja, you won’t be disappointed at Ultreia.

  • Pony Up1808 Blake Street – up for French Dip? Look no further. Pony Up is your spot for pub grub in a cool space.

  • Milk Market1800 Wazee Street – the Milk Market food hall offers variety in the midst of downtown. Like the Central Market in RiNo, choices abound at Milk Market. Pizza, sandwiches, ice cream, or seafood, they are all available here. Also a great gathering spot for events.
